Mixed Billing Practice
FEE STRUCTURE HAS CHANGED
Please be advised that Golden Grove Health Centre will be privately billing from 1st January 2023.
To be able to continue with our high-quality patient care and to be able to cope with the exponentially rising cost of medical supplies, we have a new fee structure. (See table below )
Private patients will be charged a standard consultation fee for all telehealth appointments. This will need to be paid on the day via credit card and we will submit your claim to Medicare for reimbursement.
Consultation fees will be determined by each individual doctor and depend on the length and complexity of the consult. Phone consults will incur the same gap payment charge as face-to-face consults.
Medical consumables associated with the treatment provided may attract a separate fee. Procedures performed – may also attract a fee.
We will continue to bulk-bill all Health Assessments and Chronic Disease Management Plans.
If you consider that a longer time may be required, please discuss this with the receptionist when booking your appointment.
*Subject to change and will be review Nov 1st 2023
It is strongly advised to register your family with the Safety Net program to assist with medical expenses.
No Walks Ins - By Appointment Only
Please tell the receptionist at the time of booking the appointment if the problem is URGENT . Our appointment system caters for urgent, non urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative healthcare.
As we are not a walk-in medical centre, urgent appointments will be seen by the next available GP. Urgent appointments will be triaged by the nurse on duty.
Sometimes GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues. We apologise if you are asked to wait and thank you for your patience.
If you consider that a longer time may be required, please discuss this with the receptionist when booking your appointment.

Longer appointments will be needed for the following medical appointments
• Insurance and employment medicals
• Superannuation medicals
• Removal of moles and other lesions
• Full medical examinations
• Driving medicals for heavy vehicles
• First antenatal visits.
• Chronic disease and mental health care plan preparation
Patients may request a telehealth appointment (for single appointments only) with your Doctor.
Medicare ruling applies that you MUST have been seen face to face in the surgery at least once in the previous 12 months. Unless you are COVID positive and unable to attend in person.
Required Cards
You will need to present your Medicare card and Concession card at each visit.
